The Power
Car. A heavyweight club-baggage car rebuilt and streamlined,
as all these cars were, specifically for the Rexall Train. Originally Pullman
club-baggage car WHITNEY (built to Pullman plan 2415B),
the Kantleek was rebuilt to contain a dynamo for providing electrical
power to the rest of the train. After the Rexall
tour, the car became Chicago & Alton 419 in 1941, later GM&O 419. |

A 16-Section
Service Sleeper for 20+ members of the train's technical and
Pullman staff -- including the train's three Pullman chefs and
four-piece orchestra - The Rexall Ramblers. This car was
originally Southern Pacific 16-section Pullman sleeping car HALDEMAN. After the Rexall
tour Firstaid was put back in Pullman service as HALDEMAN, later as Tourist Sleeper
4278. Later the car became Southern Pacific's maintenance-of-way
car SPMW 5554. |

Public Exhibit
Car #1 Contained a full size model pharmacy. Originally 36-seat
Pullman parlor car LANESVILLE (built to Pullman plan 2916A
and assigned to the NYNH&H). After the Rexall
tour the car was sold to the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1942, becoming
their car #1205. |

Public Exhibit
Car #2 Contained miniature replicas of the company's research laboratories in Boston, advertising and sales campaigns, as well as exhibits on the organization of special sales. Originally
36-seat Pullman parlor car NORWICH (built to Pullman plan
2916B and assigned to the NYNH&H). After the Rexall
tour the car was sold to the Pennsylvania Railroad in April 1942,
becoming their car #1204. |

Pullman parlor car BOLTON (built to Pullman plan 2916B and
assigned to the New Haven). After the Rexall
tour the car was sold to the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1942, becoming
their car #1202. |

Car #1 - for conventioneers only. Originally 36-seat
Pullman parlor car HADLYME (built to Pullman plan 2916C),
this car was stripped of its interior to provide room for as many
as 88 folding chairs during seminars and meetings. After the Rexall
tour the car returned to Pullman service as HADLYME, later as Tourist Car 6070. It
was sold to the Missouri Pacific (International-Great Northern) in 1950. |

A Diner
serving buffet lunch and dinners for conventioneers. Originally a 16 section Pullman sleeping car (built to Pullman plan
2412C in 1914) named WANAKENA. As the need for sleeping cars changed,
WANAKENA was rebuilt as a dining car to Pullman plan 4004. It lost
its name and was given the number "22". For the Rexall
Train, a long service counter was added under Pullman plan 4004A. After the Rexall
tour the car went to the Atlantic Coast Line as diner #9. |

Lecture
Car #2 - for conventioneers only. Originally 36-seat
Pullman parlor car HINGHAM (built to Pullman plan 2916C),
this car was stripped of its interior to provide room for as many
as 88 folding chairs during seminars and meetings. After hours the
chairs could be removed to make room for dancing and socializing. After the Rexall
tour the car went back into Pullman service as HINGHMAN, later as Tourist Car 6071.
It was sold to the Missouri Pacific in 1950. |

A Bar
Lounge containing two cocktail bars and a dance floor. Originally 36-chair
Pullman parlor car MONTWAIT (built to Pullman plan 2916D),
this car was rebuilt as a full lounge (including two bars) for the
Rexall Train. After the Rexall
Train it went back into Pullman service as Tourist Car 6072. It
was sold to the Missouri Pacific in 1950. |

A 10-Room
Sleeper for 20+ members of the train's demonstration and publicity
staffs. Built as Pullman
car RIDGEVILLE in 1910 (to plan 2416), this car was a 10 Compartment
sleeper. It retained its compartments, being rebuilt to Pullman plan
2505D for the Rexall Train. After the Rexall
tour it was returned to Pullman. In 1958 it was sold to Royal American
Shows (circus) in Kansas City. |

Open
Platform Observation / Private Car of Louis K. Liggett. Originally built
as a 10 compartment observation car in 1916, this car was modernized
into a 4 compartment office observation car named NEWPORT. For the Rexall
Train it was rebuilt to Pullman Plan 2502B and renamed Puretest.
It went back to its NEWPORT paint and name after the Rexall Train. In 1941 it was sold to the Northern Pacific to become their business
car #4 GALLATIN RIVER. To Andy's Diner in Seattle, WA around 1970 until the diner closed in 2008. The diner later reopened as Orient Express. |
