Centennial Special
Exhibit Car
3
Arts & Crafts and Folklore

Exhibit Car #3 was originally C&O Baggage-RPO Car 78 (not sure of the order of all these cars except Pullman). The car was lettered for Arts & Crafts, but also covered Folklore. Donated by the railroad to the state of West Virginia. Sold in 1964 to the state of Montana for their 1964-1965 Montana Centennial Train.

According to the West Virginia State Museum, the most famous—and controversial—piece of art on board was West Virginia Moon by WVU art professor Joe Moss. Made from an old screen door, some leftover paint and some weathered boards it won first prize for a painting by a WV artist. It is now on display at the West Virginia State Museum.
