801 SILVER BEAVER

WESTERN PACIFIC 801 SILVER BEAVER eventually became MC-231. Originally built by Budd in 1948 as a baggage car. To Auto-Train 135, later 1135 and used as a power car. To Ringling as MC-231 and configured as a storage/baggage car for the Gold Unit Monte Carlo Train in 1979.

As MC-231 on theMonte Carlo Express, the Gold Unit train that lasted one season.

As RBX 39 in 1983 after closing out the engagement at New York's Madison Square Garden and heading south down the Northeast Corridor to Philadelphia.

By 1982 it was RBX 38. By 1983 it was RBX 39. By 1987 it was RBX 35. Later RBX 73. Later RBX 69. The car never received an RBBX number. To private owner in 1992. To VIA Rail (Canada) and temporarily assigned number 628. To Illinois Railway Museum as MRLX 1167 in 2015.
