Auto-Train switching locomotive # 622 was one of several auto-train locomotives and cars to be give a proper name -- "Pam", after founder Eugene Garfield's daughter.

PAM was a Baldwin VO-1000 built in December 1944, builder's number 70291.

Pam was a military vet -- ex US Navy #65-00059.

Lettered "Pam" on the side of the cab.
