This car, as RBX 55, was home for contributor Rhett Coates from 1985 to 1991. According to Coates, the car was known as the Double Nickel and was configured as a bunk/dormitory for 22 crewmen on one end, with a pair of Caterpillar 3406 Gensets on the other end - for providing power to the 'upper end' (higher numbered) cars at the head end of the train. In the 44-car Red Unit train of 1988, this car was the 11th car of the train.
