Locomotive 4902

A GG-1 electric locomotive specially painted in American Railroads livery to match the GSCL cars.

The electric pulled the GSCL on May 19, 1969 from Baltimore to NYC where the line was electrified.

In later years, the locomotive became Amtrak 905, then 4905. It was eventually scrapped.
