The
Discovery Train The Discovery Train idea began with a proposal. As the idea gained momuntum, a proposal packet was built up that included an 8x10 photo of an HO scale model of what the Discovery Train might look like... The model train is shown being pulled by CN 6060, a large 4-8-2 steam locomotive with sufficient power to pull the heavy train. The 6060 was also named in the proposal documents for the Discovery Train project. |

Alas, the Discovery Train was never pulled by a steam locomotive, though on opening day it did display with Canadian Pacific steam locomotive 1201. Images: Barry Howard collection
