Discovery
Train One of three (and from 1979, four) former baggage cars used for storage and maintenance on the Discovery Train. This car had 6-axle trucks. It was usually the 17th car from the back of the train, although the order of the storage cars was changed around quite often. Photographed September 22, 1978 in the CN Danforth Yard in Toronto. This car is one of the two cars of the Discovery Train that ended up in the Nevada desert -- but were NOT scrapped in 1995 like the former display cars were. It can now be found in New Orleans, still painted Discovery Train. September 13, 1980 in Richmond, BC. Image: Don Evans
