Chessie Steam Special
Season One
Car #PC-100
Power Car

CSS (S1) Power Car #PC-100 was C&O Power Car 100, originally C&O express car 209, built in 1937 by St. Louis Car Co. It was rebuilt into a power car in 1947. After its time on the CSS, the car became C&O 914100, a Maintenance-of-Way car.

Per Jordan Vazquez in 2024, the car now resides at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum in Maimi, Florida where it may be restored to Chessie yellow.

On the Chessie steam trains, the power car contained generators to provide electricity to the passenger cars.

Following the steam locomotive as it "steam cleaned" the roofs of Chessie System tunnels was a cosmetic hazard for the PC-100.
