10501 PORT BYRON

NEW YORK CENTRAL PORT BYRON eventually became MC-241. Originally built by Pullman-Standard as a 12-double-bedroom sleeper to Plan 4125 car in Lot 6790. Placed in service April 29, 1949. Numbered 10501 PORT BYRON in 1952. Withdrawn from Pullman lease July 1, 1958, and sold to Ringling in 1968. By 1975 it was RB-147 on the Blue Unit Train. By 1978, it was #148 on the Ringling Blue Unit Train. By 1979 it was MC-241 on the Gold Unit Monte Carlo Train. Scrapped 1993.
