Golden Spike Centennial Limited
Locomotive 6900

Union Pacific 6900 sits at Salt Lake Union Station having just completed its first assignment ever-- pulling the Golden Spike Centennial Limited from Kansas City to Ogden. Note the light blue GSCL car in the background.

The Centennial class were the largest and highest horsepower diesel locomotives ever.

Today the locomotive is on display in Kenefick Park on the grounds of The Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha, NE.
