CSS (S1) Coach Car #2 was Delaware & Hudson baggage-coach #519. Ex-George Hart, exx-Reading Company 519, built by Bethlehem Shipbuilding in 1927. On the CSS, the coach section was configured as a 50-seat "tape recording room" for railfans who brought audio recorders.

Woe to the person caught making noise in this car.
