Built in 1954 by ACF as UP 14-section sleeper ALPINE MEADOW.
Rebuilt as 44-seat coach UP 5548 in 1965, to Amtrak 4588 in
1973. Rebuilt as club car BAY POINT by AEE.
William Spann was also Managing Partner of the Bay Point Yacht
& Country Club in Panama City, FL.
Bay Point Furnishings
provided the interior of the car. Renamed SEATTLE
for AOE service in 1996. Had a Baldwin grand piano in the middle
of the car (must have been a treat to keep it tuned).
GLR service to the end.
